Yard View is a very realistic 3-dimensional yard visualisation and planning system for container terminals, as well as for multi-purpose facilities.

The functionality of Yard View is thus two-fold: displaying the actual yard situation and finding a position for cargo that enters the terminal.


Graphical Display

In the graphical display, various possibilities are available to represent the cargo terminal, including a 3D view, a top view and single and multiple row/bay views.

Detailed information about the cargo is accessed directly from Yard View, by simply clicking on an individual container or warehouse.

Yard Planning

Yard View also allows for manual and automated planning of cargo in the yard. Manual planning features include drag and drop from one position to another or from a list of cargo to a yard position. Drag and drop functionality is available in the 3D view as well as in the side views of rows or bays and across multiple windows.

The automated planning is based on user-definable business rules: selecting a particular type of cargo, in function of various cargo characteristics, determining the area in which this cargo should be planned and a sequencing algorithm.

Terminal Design

Drawing a realistic 3D image of the terminal is also very straight forward thanks to the integrated design tools. Various elements can be drawn including container stacks and general cargo areas (warehouses, open storage areas, tanks, …), but also buildings, roads, car parks and even light pylons and trees.
