DP World in Antwerp has just successfully implemented Phaeros’ BillSys application to completely replace Cosmos’ Corebis invoicing system without any sacrifices on the functionality, without any changes to the internal procedures and even without any additional training! In return they now have a modern, user-friendly and extremely flexible invoicing system.

“We decided to migrate our Terminal Operating System from Cosmos to Navis, but we needed to make sure that our new invoicing application would have the same functionality as Corebis”, said Marc Laureys, TOS Application Manager at DP World. “We therefore acquired Phaeros’ BillSys application and successfully interfaced and tested it with Cosmos’ CTCS. In a next phase we will interface BillSys to Navis”, he added.

BillSys is an invoicing application with a fully graphical user interface, which processes operations data into invoices in a very similar way as Corebis does, based on the different contracts you concluded with your customers.

The contracts, contract conditions and invoice layout specifications are registered in BillSys in a very flexible way; operations data is collected from Cosmos’ CTCS application (or any other underlying operations database) and invoices are prepared automatically and approved at the click of a button. Also credit notes can easily be created and all relevant information can be exchanged with existing financial or accounting systems.

BillSys can be used to create vessel related invoices, as well as any periodical invoices for storage, handling charges, and more. In addition to containers, BillSys can also be used to invoice other types of commodities (general cargo, bulk, cars, …) and services to vessels.
